A tradie cannot switch these on themselves. A badge records that we checked a document — it is not a guarantee of the work itself.

Yes. Pick every trade you cover when you list your business — the first one you choose becomes your main trade. You can also list as many towns as you actually serve, and you'll be matched to jobs in all of them.
No licence is needed to create a listing. If you do hold one, submit it from your dashboard — once we've checked it you get the "Licensed" badge, which noticeably improves how many homeowners get in touch.
