Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 September 2026. This describes exactly what we collect and who can see it.
The short version
- We collect what we need to introduce you to a tradie (or to a job) and nothing more.
- Your phone number is not public. A tradie sees it only after they respond to your job.
- We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- Email us and we'll delete your account and personal data.
What we collect
When you create an account
Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash — we never see it). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google; we never receive your Google password.
When you post a job
Your phone number, the job description, the trade, the town, and optionally a street address, a map pin, a preferred date, and photos of the job.
When you list as a tradie
Your business name, trades, service areas, years of experience, bio, specialties, profile photo, portfolio photos, and — if you choose to submit them — identity, licence, or insurance documents.
Automatically
Your IP address (used to rate-limit login and signup attempts against brute-force attacks), and standard server logs. We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and a CSRF cookie for security. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we're allowed to hold it
We process your data to provide the service you asked for (matching jobs to tradies), to keep the platform safe and prevent abuse, and to send you service emails about your own jobs and quotes. Marketing emails, if we ever send any, will be opt-in and separately unsubscribable.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the platform:
- Railway — hosting and the database.
- An email delivery provider — to send the transactional emails you receive about your jobs, quotes and password resets.
- Sentry — error monitoring. Configured not to send personal data.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
We may also disclose data if required by Fijian law or to protect someone's safety.
How long we keep it
Account and job data is kept while your account is open. Verification documents are kept for as long as the associated badge is active, so we can show why it was granted. If you close your account we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. Reviews you have left may remain visible in anonymised form, because removing them would misrepresent a tradie's history.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only, with HSTS and a strict Content Security Policy. Passwords are hashed. Login and signup are rate-limited. Uploaded files are stored in private object storage and served through expiring links. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct anything that's wrong, delete your account and data, or export your data. Email [email protected] from your account's email address and we'll action it within 30 days.
Children
The platform is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy materially we'll email you before the change takes effect.
