Terms of Service

1. What TradeFind Fiji is

TradeFind Fiji ("we", "us", "the platform") is an online marketplace that introduces people who need trade work done ("homeowners") to people who do trade work ("tradies"). We are an introduction service only.

We are not a party to any agreement between a homeowner and a tradie. We do not employ tradies, supervise work, set prices, guarantee outcomes, or handle payment. Any contract for work is directly between the homeowner and the tradie.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password secure. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

You may not create an account using someone else's identity, operate multiple accounts to manipulate reviews or rankings, or use the platform if we have previously removed your account.

3. Posting a job

Posting a job is free. When you post, you agree that the description is accurate and that you genuinely intend to have the work done. Your first name, the town, and the job description are visible to tradies covering that trade and area. Your full name and phone number are shared with a tradie only once that tradie has responded to your job.

You may edit or cancel a job at any time before you accept a quote.

4. Listing as a tradie

Listing is free and we take no commission on work you win. By listing, you confirm that:

• you are legally entitled to carry out the trades you list in Fiji;
• you hold any licence, registration, or insurance the law requires for that work;
• the information on your profile, including your experience, licence number, and portfolio photos, is truthful and your own;
• you will respond to enquiries honestly and will not quote for work you cannot perform.

Photos you upload must be of work you actually carried out. Using another tradie's work as your own is grounds for immediate removal.

5. Verification badges

Badges shown on a profile ("ID Verified", "Licensed", "Insured") mean a member of our team has reviewed a document submitted by that tradie. A badge is a record that we checked a document on a given date. It is not a guarantee of the quality, safety, or legality of any work, and it is not a recommendation. We may withdraw a badge at any time.

6. Quotes, hiring and completion

A quote is an indication given by a tradie based on your description. Final scope and price are for you and the tradie to agree directly, and we strongly recommend agreeing both in writing before work begins.

When work is finished, the homeowner confirms completion on the platform. Only the homeowner can do this, and only then can a review be left.

7. Reviews

Only a homeowner who posted a job, hired a tradie through the platform, and marked that job complete may review that tradie. Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience of that job.

You may not post reviews that are false, defamatory, discriminatory, or that contain another person's private information. You may not offer or accept anything of value in exchange for a review. We may remove reviews that breach these rules, but we do not remove reviews simply because a tradie disagrees with them.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the platform to harass, threaten, defraud, or discriminate against anyone; to post unlawful or misleading content; to scrape, copy, or harvest data including other users' contact details; to circumvent security; or to send unsolicited marketing to other users.

9. Content you post

You keep ownership of the text and photos you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and reproduce that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform. You confirm you have the right to grant that licence. You may delete your content at any time; copies may persist in backups for a period afterwards.

10. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or that presents a risk to other users. Where practical we will tell you why. You may close your account at any time by emailing us.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided "as is". We do not warrant that any tradie is suitable for your job, that any homeowner will proceed with work, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by Fijian law, we are not liable for the quality, timeliness, safety, or legality of any work performed; for any loss, damage, injury, or cost arising out of a job arranged through the platform; or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will give notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Fiji, and the courts of Fiji have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
